Prof. Dr. Md Gias U Ahsan has been appointed as the Pro Vice-Chancellor of The Canadian University of Bangladesh (CUB).
On 19th November, at a town hall meeting at the Canadian University of Bangladesh, he was introduced by the Chairman of the Canadian University of Bangladesh, Dr. Chowdhury Nafeez Sarafat.
Before joining CUB, Professor Gias U Ahsan served over 30 years of practical experience as a brilliant academic leader and researcher at the North South University (NSU), Health Sector ( DGHS) and World Health Organization (SEARO/ WHO).
He presented keynote lectures at a large number of prestigious international and national conferences. The Mahidol University of Thailand has awarded him the Outstanding Alumnus 2015 and 2018 awards.
His alma mater is Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital, Mahidol University. Now he has joined as the Pro Vice-Chancellor of the Canadian University of Bangladesh (CUB).
