Durbar Tarunno, a major social and voluntary organisation of Bangladesh, has organised a programme with a difference in Chattogram by planting over 100 saplings on Tuesday afternoon. Keeping the theme, Amar Jatne Amar Gachh (my tree under my care) in the forefront, the popular organisation planted the saplings in the CRB area of the port city under its Amra Mali (we are gardeners) project. 152 Members of Parliament (MPs) have recommended to Cabinet Secretary Mr. Khandker Anwarul Islam to take initiatives to speed up the draft proposal of the existing Tobacco Control law for preventing non-communicable diseases (NCDs) and public health protection.
