Two students of United International University (UIU) have received the Study in Canada Scholarships (SICS) for the Academic Year 2023-2024, each valued at CAD$10,200. This scholarship is for one exchange semester in Canada and funded by Global Affairs Canada (GAC).
Khadija Khan Raisa student of Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), UIU and Md. Mehefujur Rahman Mubin student of Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Engineering (BSCSE), UIU have received SICS by Lakehead University, Canada. Center for International Affairs and Cooperation (CIAC) at UIU has facilitated the process.
Center for International Affairs and Cooperation (CIAC) is a dedicated center at UIU for internationalization. The main goal of the establishment of CIAC is to enhance international collaboration of UIU. CIAC acts as a bridge between UIU and other renowned global institutions. CIAC-UIU is working with the mission to support students, faculty members and non-academic staffs of UIU for international learning, scholarship, teaching, and research experiences for shaping their global careers.
To the best of our knowledge, only 50 seats were allocated from around 20 countries from Asia, Europe, Middle East, North Africa, and the Sub-Saharan Africa region. It is a great pride for UIU to win two out of fifty scholarships through fierce competition. Prof. Dr. Md. Abul Kashem Mia, Vice-Chancellor (In-Charge) of UIU wishes the winners great success ahead and encourages other UIU students to prepare themselves for the upcoming competitions.
