The 37th Programming Contest occurred on 23rd August 2022 at Eastern University (EU). It was Two hours long contest from 9.30 to 11.30 am. The program was arranged by Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) department and supported by Eastern University Computing Club.
Competitive programming is a mind sport usually held over the Internet or a local network, involving participants trying to program according to provided specifications. Contestants are referred to as sports programmers.
After a tough fight, the EU Dragons team consisting of Ahsan Amin, Abdul Kayum & Raju Molla clinched the title of the Champions. Team Amra Tinjon consisting of Mahjabin Binte Mannan, Rudro Pandit & Dewan Monjur Elahi Choyon came up as the first Runner. The second runner-up position went to the team of Md Sifat Khan, Ashikur Rahman and Alauddin- the EU Code Warriors. These Three teams will participate in the ICPC Asia Dhaka Regional Contest held in October 2022.
Professor Dr. Shahid Akhtar Hossain, Vice Chancellor of the Eastern University distributed the prizes and certificates among the winners. Dean of the Faculty of Engineering & Technology Professor Dr. Mahfuzur Rahman, Registrar Dr. Abul Basher Khan, CSE Muhammad Mahfuz Hasan Chairperson, and many more were present at the ceremony.
