ULAB Observes National Mourning Day
The University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) organized a virtual discussion program along with a short biopic of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman titled “Bangabandhu: Bojre Tomar Baaje Banshi” to commemorate the 2021 National Mourning Day on 14 August. The program began with a minute of silence to remember and pay homage to the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and all the martyrs who were brutally murdered on 15 August 1975.
Emeritus Professor and Director of the ULAB’s Centre for Bangla Studies Dr. Rafiqul Islam in his opening speech said, Bangabandhu, who sacrificed his whole life for the country, had to give his life in return. There is nothing more heinous than this.”
