The Department of General Education at the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh organized an online meet and greet for freshers of the Fall 2021 term on Thursday, 4 November 2021. The theme of the program was Liberal Arts Essential to Quality Education. Professor Muhammad Ibrahim welcomed the students to the department andhighlighted the significance of studying liberal arts. He added that without exposer to GED courses students higher education cannot be fulfilled. Professor Salimullah Khan, Ph.D., Director, Center for advanced Theory, ULAB, in his speech, focused on the importance of liberal arts education and informed that General Education Department plays a key role in the goal of the university. Imran Rahman is the new Vice Chancellor of ULAB

The Hon’ble President of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh and the Chancellor of Universities has appointed Professor Imran Rahman as the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) for a four-year term with effect from November 2, 2021. Professor Rahman joined ULAB in 2006 as the Dean of Business and later served as the VC (2012-2016) and Pro VC (2009-2012). Prior to joining ULAB, he served in IBA, Dhaka University for 28 years, as a finance faculty, Chair of the BBA Program and Chair of the Computer Center. He co-founded and led a merchant bank in the 1990s for six years. He studied at Manchester Business School, Dhaka University, and the London School of Economics.
