BPFHW urges Health Minister to finalize the proposed TC law Immediately
Members of Parliament (MPs) from 'Bangladesh Parliamentary Forum for Health & Wellbeing (BPFHW)' requested Health Minister Zahid Maleque MP and Secretary Dr. Anwar Hossain Howlader to take the speedy initiative to pass the proposed amendment to the existing tobacco control law to protect public health. On September 13, Tuesday, during a meeting with the health minister; MPs urged to improve the country's health service system, prevention of non-communicable diseases (NCDs) and achieve universal health protection (UHC) to implement the declared tobacco-free Bangladesh by 2040 by the Prime Minister.
