Survey, registration and management ought to function in synchronization – Land Secretary

Land Secretary Md. Khalilur Rahman said that for the successful implementation of smart land service, survey, registration and management should work on the same page and function in synchronization.

Land Secretary Md Khalilur Rahman said this at a workshop titled ‘Access to Land Data’ for the sub-registrars under the Law Ministry and other officials of the Ministry of Land to coordinate the interconnection of the registration and mutation system. Chairman of Land Appeal Board AKM Shamimul Haque Siddique and Chairman of Land Reform Board Md Abdus Sabur Mondal were present on the occasion.

The secretary said that with the sincere will and strong leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, the work of interconnection of land mutation system with land registration system has started last year. At the same time, land settlement and survey management are also being brought under it.

Land Secretary said that second generation Mutation, Khatian, and LD Tax interconnected services are being launched soon through the Land Service Gateway (LSG).

In this system, it will be possible to access all three services by logging into the system without having to enter the three systems separately. As a result, it will be possible to directly verify documents from mutation, provide a holding number along with mutation, and determine land development tax. Apart from this, there is also a system of informing all the information; and services through calls.

Officials of the Ministry of Land and Land Reform Board, Sub-Registrar under the Registration Department of the Ministry of Law and officials of different projects and programs of the Ministry of Land participated in the workshop.
