Bangladesh Liberation War Museum and University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) on August 20, jointly organized a special exhibition of the documentary film ‘Bay of Blood’ on the massacres during the Liberation War. The exhibition was held in the auditorium of the Research Building of ULAB at Dhanmondi.

ULAB Pro Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Jude William Genillo delivered the welcome address on the occasion. Indian filmmaker Krishnendu Bose’s documentary ‘Bay of Blood’ captures the background history of the Partition of India in 1947 and the subsequent Bangladesh Liberation War. In addition, the documentary has repeatedly stated that the massacres and atrocities on women during the Liberation War were not only a manifestation of the overzealous brutality of some Pakistani soldiers, but a well-planned military operation.

Former Chairman of UGC Prof. Abdul Mannan, Historian and Literary Prof. Muntasir Mamun, Liberation War Researcher and Writer Mofidul Haque, Archeology Researcher and Teacher Prof. Shahnaj Husne Jahan and others were present in this exhibition. At the end of the screening, director Krishnendu Bose in his brief speech highlighted the various aspects of his four long years of experience in making the film.
