Public health experts warn that the low price and easy availability of tobacco products continue to encourage young people to start smoking. Sandhani, the Independence Award-winning student organization, has called for an effective increase in tobacco prices in the upcoming FY 2026–27 national budget to discourage tobacco use among young people.
