Shahin Chowdhury of the Daily Tripura express and Masum Billah of Daily Jugasankha have been elected president and general secretary respectively of the Indian Media Correspondents Association, Bangladesh (IMCAB).
The new executives of IMCAB were elected unopposed on Friaday for the year 2026-2027.
The other elected office-bearers are: vice president- Razib Khan (TV9), joint general secretary- Mir Afroz Zaman (United News of India- UNI), treasurer Abu Ali (Amar Asam) and organizing secretary Aminul Haque Bhuiyan (News Vanguard).
The executive members of the committee are – Basudeb Dhar (Daily Statesman), Rafiqul Islam Sabuj (Daily Desher Katha), Nirmal Chakraborty (Face News), Zakir Hossain (Daily Sayandan) and Monir Hossain (Tripura Times).
