Ekushey Book Fair is to commemorate the historic language movement of 21 February 1952 for the establishment of Bangla as the mother language. February 1st usually marks the beginning of the Amar Ekushey Book Fair as a tradition, but this year the book fair started on February 15th due to the prevailing Covid-19 pandemic threats. Demand to ban smoking zones for making public places 100% smoke free

MPs recommend concerned ministries to amend TC law and increase taxes

Representatives of the 'Bangladesh Parliamentary Forum for Health and Wellbeing' (BPFHW) have recommended the concerned ministries and directorates to accelerate the amendment of the existing Tobacco Control Act and increase of tax and price of tobacco products.
