Shimanto Bank PLC has recently signed a participatory agreement with Bangladesh Bank to facilitate financing at a concessional interest rate and on simplified terms for the development of ICT Sector. To foster the development of the IT sector, loans of up to BDT 50 crore will be provided at the customer level at a 4% interest rate (p.a) for a maximum term of 10 years under this scheme. The goal of this scheme is to develop the IT sector by supporting entrepreneurs.Mr. AKM Nurunnabi, Director, Sustainable Finance Department, Bangladesh Bank and Mr. Md. Nurul Azim, Managing Director & CEO, Shimanto Bank PLC signed the MoU on behalf of their respective organizations. Senior Officials from Bangladesh Bank and Shimanto Bank PLC were present in the signing ceremony.
