The Entrepreneurs Development Forum (EDF) a wing of Directorate of Career Counseling & Student Affairs (DCCSA), United International University (UIU) organized the celebration of “International Entrepreneur Day 2023” yesterday at UIU campus, Madani Avenue, United City, Dhaka.
Prof. Dr. Md. Abul Kashem Mia, Vice Chancellor (In Charge) United International University was present as the Chief Guest. Mr. Tareq Rafi Buhiyan Jun, Advisor, Japan Embassy in Bangladesh and Founder & Managing director, New Vision Solutions Limited was present as the Keynote speaker. Mr. Tanzir Chowdhury Tuhin, Founder Member and Vocalist, Avash and CEO & Chief Architect, Dasein and Mr. Sheikh Mujibur Ali Raajue, Founder Member and Bassist, Avash, DGM – Global Finance, MGH Group were present as the Special Guests. Mr. A M Ishtiaque Sarwar, Startup Mentor, Founder and Managing Director aamarpay and Taslima Miji, Founder at Gootipa, Managing Director at Leatherina were present as Guest Speakers in the program. The welcome speech was delivered by Mr. Jakowan, Assistant Professor of School of Business and Economics, UIU.
The speakers at the program explained in detail the various features, obstacles etc. of being an entrepreneur. The Chief Guest said in his speech that initiatives should be taken to work on Smart Bangladesh to ensure a better future. He also urged the students to move forward to a new horizon through the practice of entrepreneurship. Certificates were awarded to 5 young entrepreneurs among students of UIU in the program.
