MetLife Bangladesh has invested BDT 50 crore in the fourth subordinated bond issued by Eastern Bank PLC (EBL), reinforcing the insurer’s ongoing efforts to strengthen and diversify its investment portfolio in the country.Apart from investing in government bonds, MetLife Bangladesh continues to diversify into corporate bonds to support sustainable financing for corporates, while delivering enhanced, long term returns for its policyholders. MetLife Bangladesh continues to expand accessibility for its customers with the signing of an agreement with Dutch-Bangla Bank (DBBL) through which MetLife customers can pay their premiums at over 5,000 DBBL agent banking outlets.
