Southeast University Hosts an Eye Camp

A day-long eye camp was organized by the Bangladesh Eye Hospital at Southeast University campus on 13 May 2024. Southeast Pharmacy Club and the Department of Career & Professional Development Services (CPDS) planned the event and provided necessary logistical support.

The accomplished eye doctors and professionals from the Bangladesh Eye Hospital provided free-of-cost eye care services to around 500 students, faculty, and staff. The services included comprehensive vision tests, assessments for refractive errors, and cataracts, and evaluation for other common eye conditions.

The event was attended by dignitaries including Professor Dr. M. Mofazzal Hossain, Vice-Chancellor (Acting) of SEU, Prof. Dr. ANM Meshquat Uddin, Adviser to the SEU Trust, Prof. Dr. Yusuf Mahbubul Islam from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering along with Registrar, Additional Registrar, Deans of various schools, Departmental Heads, and other high-ranking officials. On behalf of the university Dr. Hasnat M Alamgir, Director of CPDS thanked the Bangladesh Eye Hospital for its firm commitment to protecting student wellbeing and providing noble service to the society.
