A Seminar on “Bangladesh-Turkey Development Partnership: Challenges of Sustainable Development” organized by the Institute for Advanced Research (IAR) of United International University (UIU) was held on 03 August 2022 at 10:00 AM at UIU Campus.
His Excellency Mustafa Osman Turan, Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye in Dhaka, Bangladesh was present as the Chief Guest. Mr. Moinuddin Hasan Rashid, Chairman & Managing Director, United Group and Prof. Dr. Md. Abul Kashem Mia, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor (In Charge) of UIU were present as the Special Guests in the program. Prof. Dr. M. Rezwan Khan, Executive Director of IAR & Former VC of UIU presided over the ceremony.
The Chief Guest said – Bangladesh and Türkiye have many similarities in tradition and culture. In the future, Bangladesh and Türkiye will jointly work on research and development in different sectors including- Education, Health, Industry and Technology which will play an important role in Sustainable Development and the good relationship between the two countries will grow. He also expressed optimism that new opportunities will open in the research of both countries through collaborative research and exchange of teachers & students of the two countries.
Prof. Dr. Chowdhury Mofizur Rahman, Former VC of UIU, Dr. Md. Zulfiqur Rahman, Registrar of UIU, Dean of different Schools, Head of Departments, teachers, students, high officials & invited guests were present at the seminar.
