The seven-episode special Eid-ul-Fitr serial drama “Vejal Kader” has been released under the banner of Beyond Network. Written by renowned playwright Rajib Moni Das and directed by Naznin Hasan Khan, the drama features an ensemble cast, including AKM Hasan, Moushumi Hamid, Tarik Shapon, Rocky Khan, Rebeka Rouf, Kazi Raju, Ashraful Ashish, Farid Hossain, Fahamida Rahaman Trisha, AB Rashid, and others.
Playwright Rajib Moni Das shared insights into the storyline, stating, “Whenever someone in our society attempts to achieve something, they often face criticism and discouragement, sometimes even abandoning their goals. However, Vejal Kader stands apart—he remains steadfast and determined. Ultimately, through perseverance and guidance, he finds success.”
Director Naznin Hasan Khan also expressed her enthusiasm about the drama, remarking, “Conveying life’s philosophy through humor in a drama is always a delight. Through the character of Vejal Kader, we aim to instill a sense of change in society. This character speaks of transformation and contributes to social progress.”
The plot follows Kader, a self-proclaimed know-it-all who believes his advice can help the villagers. However, his past suggestions have mostly resulted in unintended consequences. A conflict arises when a dispute with Kabita’s father escalates due to one of Kader’s misguided recommendations, making him suspect a conspiracy against him.
Meanwhile, Anu, a half-witted villager who enjoys causing trouble, dreams of marrying Kabita despite her disinterest. When Anu’s father proposes marriage on his behalf, Kabita rushes to Kader, pleading with him to elope. Unaware of this, Anu indulges in celebrations, anticipating his wedding.
Initially, Kader’s advice frustrates the villagers, but over time, his suggestions start proving beneficial. Even Anu begins to show signs of improvement. Gradually, the villagers start seeking Kader’s counsel, taking pride in his wisdom. As the narrative unfolds, a series of humorous and engaging incidents emerge, shaping the journey of ‘Know-it-all Kader’ and his impact on the community.
