Largest Bangladeshi Self-Taught Artist’s Overseas Art Exhibition in Dubai, UAE

PowerPac presents “BIJOY,” the first group art exhibition of more than 50 Bangladeshi and 20 other nationalities artists to celebrate the 51st Victory Day of Bangladesh. This 10-day-long art exhibition event is organized jointly by Funun Arts, UAE and Mahfuz Canvas, Bangladesh at Dubai International Art Center (DIAC), Dubai, UAE from December 12 to 21, 2022.

75 paintings from 75 artists are participating in this mega overseas international art exhibition to celebrate and pay tribute to the 51st Victory Day of Bangladesh. 55 Bangladeshi self-taught artists are participating and artists from 20 diverse nationalities will be showcasing their work depicting that art is beyond borders and artists are always at the forefront to be part of the celebration. This Victory of Bangladesh came on 16th December 1971 under the prudent leadership of the Father of the Nation, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

The Consul General of Bangladesh in Dubai and the Northern Emirates, His Excellency B.M. Jamal Hossain and His Excellency Suhail Mohammad Al Zarooni an Emirate, well-established renowned business personnel as well as Guinness World Record holder will inaugurate this mega art event.

Title sponsor of this event – PowerPac (a concern of Sikder Group) is one of the largest business conglomerates based in Bangladesh and has more than 70 business ventures around the globe. The Chairman of PowerPac Mr. Rick Haque Sikder and Managing Director Mr. Ron Haque Sikder stated this is a prestigious event to sponsor to show their tribute to the Victory of Bangladesh and this will be the pride for the nation arranging such a significant overseas art event showing the culture of Bangladesh through the artist canvases. Mr. Ron also added this exhibition with a specific focus on encouraging artists to improve their creations by giving them a global platform and encouraging them to honor other cultures of Bangladesh and their histories through their artworks.

For Mahfuz Canvas, the first largest overseas art exhibition will be the “BIJOY” show. Mahfuzur Rahman – founder of Mahfuz Canvas has said that they view this endeavor as their most outstanding international achievement to yet and this is the largest overseas self-taught Bangladeshi artist’s art exhibition yet. He also thanked “The Consulate General of the Peoples Republic of Bangladesh, Dubai, UAE” and PowerPac, the title sponsor of the event for their extending support towards this event. Shiba Khan and Farah Khan – founders of Funun Arts mentioned this is the largest overseas art show by Bangladeshi artists in Dubai and organizing this event it’s a pride for them. Ms. Shiba and Farah also added our aim is to represent art & bring talents to light. Artists are also given complete freedom to present themselves in any way they see fit.
