Bangladesh further solidifies its global standing in the apparel industry as the 16th edition of Intex Bangladesh Expo 2025 officially opens today at the International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB). The three-day international textile sourcing show is set to host over 125 companies from more than 10 countries, providing a dynamic platform for global buyers, suppliers, and manufacturers.
As the world’s second-largest apparel exporter, Bangladesh continues to attract international interest with its high-quality, value-added manufacturing capabilities. With RMG exports projected to exceed USD 56 billion by 2026, platforms like Intex play a critical role in fostering partnerships, diversifying supply chains, and showcasing innovation across the textile and apparel ecosystem.

The opening ceremony was attended by key industry stakeholders, including Mahbubur Rahman, Secretary, Ministry of Commerce as Chief Guest, Md. Anwar Hossain, Chairman of the Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) as Guest of Honour, alongside senior leaders from BGMEA, BKMEA, and presidents of major bilateral chambers such as LABCCI, KBCCI, and BGCCI.
This year’s expo features prominent country pavilions. India, through TEXPROCIL and PDEXCIL, is showcasing cotton, blends, and sustainable textiles; China brings technical fabrics and garment trims; South Korea features eco-friendly performance materials; while Thailand and Japan contribute premium shirting and woven products. Bangladeshi exhibitors are highlighting advancements in knitwear, denim, and vertically integrated production solutions.
Adding to the expo’s value, the Interactive Business Forum (IBF) returns with two thought-provoking sessions. The first explores the integration of AI in textile production and fashion, while the second addresses the impact of global tariffs and trade shifts on Bangladeshi exports. These sessions feature leading industry voices and are designed to equip businesses with strategies for resilience and growth.

“Bangladesh is no longer just a volume player — it’s fast emerging as a global hub for sustainable, value-added apparel manufacturing. With strategic investment in innovation, compliance, and skilled workforce, the country is well-positioned to lead the next chapter of responsible fashion and textile sourcing. We believe, a platform like INTEX Bangladesh will play a major role in achieving our strategic goals while ensuring quality products in a competitive global market” Said Mahbubur Rahman.
Complementing the exhibition, Intex Bangladesh 2025 includes B2B meetings, VIP networking, and matchmaking opportunities for buyers and suppliers — offering a comprehensive experience for sourcing and business expansion.
Organised by Worldex India, the event is backed by leading trade bodies including BGMEA, BKMEA, BGBA, EPB, and international chambers such as IBCCI, LABCCI, KBCCI, and BGCCI.
