Grameenphone expanding across the country with 200 GPC

Grameenphone now has 200 of its flagship store, “Grameenphone Center” (GPC), across Bangladesh! With the launch of the GPC Nageshwari at Kurigram, the connectivity partner to Digital Bangladesh has reached this benchmarking success.

Grameenphone organized a virtual event in this regard where Director-General Birg. General Md. Nasim Parvez, ndc,afwc,psc of BTRC formally inaugurated the GPCs. Sajjad Hasib, Chief Marketing Officer, Hossain Sadat, Chief Corporate Affairs Officer (acting) and Mohd. Aulad Hossain, Head of Customer Experience and Service among others were present at the event moderated by Khairul Basher, Head of Communications of Grameenphone. During the event, Grameenphone’s Head of Customer Experience and Service Mohd. Aulad Hossain connected from remote Nageshwari of Kurigram along with customers and GPC officials and demonstrated the GPCs activities.

Driven by the inspiration of serving customers better, Grameenphone now has its essential customer solution points all over the country, serving the sincere ambition of ensuring maximum customer engagement and delightful resolutions. Along with 200 GPCs, Grameenphone will continue to cater its customers in the existing digital service channels such as 121 hotline and MyGP application. The GPC expansion has taken place beyond the district headquarters and expanded through the rural parts of the country. Among the 200, location-wise, the highest 24 of GPC located in Dhaka, while 24 in Sylhet, 21 in Rajshahi, 19 in Barishal, 18 in Bogura, 17 in Khulna, 17 in Mymensing, 16 in Cumilla, 12 in Chittagong, and 7 in Ranpur. Besides, customers can also avail themselves services from 4.2 lac retail points across the country.

Birg. General Md. Nasim Parvez, ndc, afwc, psc, Director-General of BTRC, said in his speech, “Today is a very important day for Grameenphone, as it has achieved a significant milestone in getting closer to the people. Although Grameenphone has hotline services like MyGP, there will always be a need for Grameenphone Centers to connect people living in rural areas. These GP Centers will significantly improve the services for people who have not availed of digital solutions yet. Thus, on behalf of the government, I would like to thank Grameenphphone. I hope, Grameenphone will continue its efforts to develop customer relationships.”

On this occasion, Sajjad Hasib, Chief Marketing Officer of Grameenphone, said, “I am really excited and humbly delighted with this fantastic milestone of the 200th GPC. Mohd. Aulad Hossain, Head of Grameenphone Customer Experience and Service, also said, “It is a great pleasure and moment of pride that we have hit a big milestone of 200 Grameenphone Centers, and we will continue our effort to reach closer to customers with more stores in coming days. Grameenphone Centers are Grameenphone’s exclusive stores from where customers can avail quality customer services and authentic product portfolios”. He also added, “Our aim is to make services very simple for our valued customers and make them available in the MyGP app, but still if anyone is in need to visit physical stores – they can avail any services from our Service Touch Points and Grameenphone Centers.”

In his closing remarks, Hossain Sadat, Acting CCAO of Grameenphone, thanked BTRC for its supports in delivering customer service across the country. He stated, “To ensure excellence in customer service, Grameenphone will further expand such activities. Through mutual collaboration, it will be possible to expedite the process of including more customers using digital services.”

Grameenphone is celebrating the “200 GPC Milestone Celebration” with different types of engagement activities in digital and retail channels.
