CSE Dept. of EU started ITEE training targeting Japanese Market

Targeting Japanese and other developed countries Information Technology Market, Eastern University (EU) has started a Training Course to enhance the skills of the students of Computer Science & Engineering department. Vice-Chancellor of Eastern University Prof. Dr. Shahid Akhtar Hossain inaugurated the training program attending an online meeting through Zoom on 17th February 2022 at 7 pm.
The Training Course is for preparing the students for the Information Technology Engineers Examination (ITEE) under the full finance of ‘The Project for Skills Development of IT Engineers Targeting Japanese Market’ supported by Bangladesh Computer Council under the umbrella of ICT Division, Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications and IT. Only 20 students of the CSE Department were selected for this training course on a merit-based screening process. The training would be provided free for the students and all the necessary training materials of the Project will also be supplied free of cost.
In the inauguration session, Vice-Chancellor said, out of more than 150 Universities only 21 universities around the country are awarded this project and it is indeed a matter of great honor for Eastern University that the CSE Department of this University is one of them. He inspired the students and requested them to try their level best to do well in the training and mentioned that if they could pass ITEE, it would ultimately open their door for the Japanese Market.
Prof. Dr. Md. Mahfuzur Rahman, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology has been acting as the coordinator of the training course at Eastern University end since its inception. In his inauguration speech, he mentioned that it is a golden opportunity for CSE graduates to go to Japan with IT jobs completely free of cost. He said ITEE is like a Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or International English Language Testing System (IELTS). He explained the background of this project.
Mr. Mohammad Mahfuz Hasan, Chairperson of the Department of CSE was also present at the inauguration ceremony while Ms. Nawshin Tabassum Tanni, Lecturer, Dept. of CSE was the Instructor on the first day. Highly talented faculty members from CSE, Business and Law Departments were assigned to be involved in this rigorous training session; to prepare the students well for the qualifying exam.
Anyone can participate at ITEE. Registration for ITEE will be continued till 31st March 2022. The examination will be held on 23 April 2022 (Saturday). Registration Link: http://registration.bditec.gov.bd/
