BASIS celebrates the National Mourning Day in a different way

Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS) celebrated the 48th martyrdom anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. On Friday, August 25, 2023, a stage drama named 'Neta je raat a nihoto holen' (The night the leader was killed) was staged at the Liberation War Museum, Agargaon, Dhaka, based on the story of Prominent fiction writer and dramatist Imdadul Haque Milan, and the drama was directed by Rezanur Rahman. Leaders of Aviation and Tourism Journalist Forum Bangladesh - ATJFB, the country's leading media workers' organization, have urged the speedy passage of the amendment to the Tobacco Control Act to protect the health of the country's people and build a strong and talented young society. Missing Painting of Late Author Humayun Ahmed Returned to His Family

One of the paintings created by the legendary and most popular author, novelist, short-story writer, and filmmaker late Humayun Ahmed, who is a towering personality in the history of Bengali Literature, which went missing about 10 years ago has been recently returned to his family members. Before the untimely demise, the legendary author was living in the USA to undergo medical treatment. During that time, the late Author, while spending time with his young son Nishat Humayun created 24 watercolor paintings. ICGAB pays tribute at the statue of Bangabandhu

On the occasion of National Mourning Day and the 48th Martyrdom Anniversary of the Father of the Nation, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the Institute of Certified General Accountants of Bangladesh (ICGAB) paid homage to his memory. Last Tuesday, the President of ICGAB, Muhammad Mamunur Rashid FCGA, Senior Vice President, Md. Zahirul Islam FCGA, Vice President, Sheikh Munwar Hossain FCGA, along with Council Members, offered floral tributes at the statue of Bangabandhu at Dhanmondi Road 32. After the tribute, prayers were offered for the forgiveness of the souls of those who sacrificed their lives, including Bangabandhu and his family members, on August 15th.

e-CAB signed a MoU with Singer Bangladesh to provide NFC smart cards

A MoU has been signed between e-CAB and Singer Bangladesh ltd on Tuesday (1 August 2023) to provide ‘NFC smart card’ free of its association’s members. An average of 442 people die every day in Bangladesh due to tobacco use. To prevent this death and to build a tobacco-free Bangladesh by the year of 2040 announced by the Hon'ble Prime Minister, the revised draft of the Tobacco Control Act must be passed very quickly.
