ULAB organized Bookkeeper Training Certificate Awarding Ceremony

ULAB School of Business organized the Bookkeeper Training Certificate Awarding Ceremony at its campus in Mohammadpur on November 11, 2021, Thursday. 21 students from the BBA program received certificates after attending multiple training sessions on the BookKeeper App followed by a test. The certificate recipients will be providing training on the app to different SME business owners. In the Certificate Awarding Ceremony, ULAB's Vice-Chancellor Professor Imran Rahman urged students to participate in training like these which complement the text-based knowledge and enrich the competency of a fresh graduate. JU BNCC platoon gets new ‘acting teacher’

Mehedi Mamun, JU Jahangirnagar University Marketing department associate professor Md. Rakibul Hasan has been made acting teacher of the JU unit platoon of Bangladesh National Cadet Corps (BNCC). An office order signed by JU acting registrar Rahima Kaneez said the information. The office order said, Md. Rakibul Hasan, associate professor of the Marketing department has been appointed as acting teacher of BNCC- JU platoon. He will serve in this post until further direction. He will get salary and other increments as per the existing system. The order will be activated from the day of his joining in this post, the order read. Md. Rakibul Hasan will be succeeded by Microbiology department's lecturer Taslin Jahan Mou.

Imran Rahman is the new Vice Chancellor of ULAB

The Hon’ble President of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh and the Chancellor of Universities has appointed Professor Imran Rahman as the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) for a four-year term with effect from November 2, 2021. Professor Rahman joined ULAB in 2006 as the Dean of Business and later served as the VC (2012-2016) and Pro VC (2009-2012). Prior to joining ULAB, he served in IBA, Dhaka University for 28 years, as a finance faculty, Chair of the BBA Program and Chair of the Computer Center. He co-founded and led a merchant bank in the 1990s for six years. He studied at Manchester Business School, Dhaka University, and the London School of Economics.

The MoU has been signed on 17 October 2021 at the ULAB’s permanent campus in Mohammadpur. ULAB’s Acting Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Shamsad Mortuzaand Dnet’s Executive Director M.
