MoU signing between UIU and Grameenphone

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between United International University (UIU) and Grameenphone Limited (GP) on 24 December 2024 (Tuesday) at UIU Campus, United City, Madani Avenue, Dhaka-1212.

Mr. Mohammad Abdul Moqaddem, Treasurer of United International University (UIU) was present as the Chief Guest in the ceremony. While, Ms. Shaila Rahman, Head of Service Delivery & Experience, GP, Mr. A.N.M. Al Farabi, Head of Employee Experience, GP, Mr. Ashfaque Hossain, Employer Brand Expert, GP, Prof. A S M Salahuddin, Director, Coordination and former Registrar, UIU, Mr. Nahid Hassan Khan, Director, DCCSA, UIU and Mr. Abu Sadat Md. Mostansirbilla, Director, PR, UIU were present in the program.

Dr. Md. Zulfiqur Rahman, Registrar of United International University (UIU) and Mrs. Sayeda Tahya Hossain, Chief Human Resources Officer, Grameenphone Limited (GP) signed the MoU on behalf of their respective organizations. Among others, heads of different departments, directors, faculty members and high officials of both organizations were present in the ceremony.

This MoU would be beneficial for both sides and would greatly enhance research and innovation through knowledge exchange. This partnership aims to facilitate joint research, faculty and student exchanges, and capacity-building initiatives through training and corporate engagement programs. By leveraging Grameenphone’s expertise, the collaboration seeks to enhance the educational experience at UIU and provide graduates with essential professional skills.

The institutions will also align on CSR initiatives supporting Bangladesh’s sustainable development goals. At the same time, Grameenphone’s campus engagements will offer practical career development insights, industry exposure, and branding opportunities – bridging the academic and professional spheres.
