The University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) is going to hold a three-day International Conference on “Entangled Englishes in Translocal Spaces” from September 2-4, 2021. The conference has been organized by the Center for Language Studies (CLS) and the Department of English and Humanities. The University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) organized a virtual discussion program along with a short biopic of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman titled “Bangabandhu: Bojre Tomar Baaje Banshi” to commemorate the 2021 National Mourning Day on 14 August. The program began with a minute of silence to remember and pay homage to the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and all the martyrs who were brutally murdered on 15 August 1975. The Media Studies and Journalism (MSJ) program of the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) has recently been accredited by the prestigious Academic Council of the Swiss-based Global Alliance (GA) for Public Relations and Communication Management. This accreditation will allow the students and faculty members to get connected with a network of academics, professionals, experts, and associations of communication and public relations from more than 200 counties around the world. Closure of educational institutions extended till August 31

The government has extended the ongoing closure of all educational institutions till August 31. The decision is also applicable for Ebtedayee and Qawmi madrasas across the country, according to a press release of the education ministry. Based on recommendations by the National Technical Advisory Committee on Covid-19, the government has extended the closure considering the safety of students, teachers, employees and guardians amid growing Covid-19 infections and the countrywide lockdown.
