Seminar held at United International University

A Seminar on “Bangladesh-Turkey Development Partnership: Challenges of Sustainable Development” organized by the Institute for Advanced Research (IAR) of United International University (UIU) was held on 03 August 2022 at 10:00 AM at UIU Campus. British Council’s ‘Our Shared Cultural Heritage’ project connecting youth with heritage

The activities carried out under ‘Our Shared Cultural Heritage’ (OSCH), a youth-led programme by The British Council, have recently been showcased in Rajshahi. The activities were showcased on 28 and 29 July 2022. This project has been designed to connect young people and inspire them to work with cultural heritages through organising a series of training and activities. 31 young people from different institutions have been working with cultural heritages since 2021 under this project. It is to connect the heritages to the youth as well as to the wider audience so that people can understand and work on our heritages. ULAB alumnus Faez Belal gets Diana Award

University of Liberal Arts (ULAB) Faez Belal achieved the prestigious Diana Award- 2022. Faez helped to found the ‘Girls’ Summit’ for developing the soft skills and leadership qualities of 600 girls from marginalized and climate change-torn areas of Barishal. He also created the ‘Avoy app’, which informs girls of their rights and connects them to the nearest police station to ensure their safety in public places in an emergency. The app has reached more than half a million women and girls. Faez completed his Bachelor's in Media Studies and Journalism (MSJ) from the ULAB. He received the achievement for his immense contribution to social work.
