UIU received the ‘World Society of Sustainable Energy Technologies’ Innovation Award 2022

A research Project “SirriS- Smart Solar Irrigation System” developed by the Centre for Energy Research of United International University (UIU) received the ‘World Society of Sustainable Energy Technologies’ Innovation Award 2022 on August 17, 2022, in Istanbul, Türkiye. ULAB holds Scholarship Award Ceremony

The University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) held a Scholarship Award Ceremony on 24 August at the ULAB Permanent Campus in Mohammadpur, Dhaka, with Professor Dr. Biswajit Chanda, Member, UGC as the Chief Guest and Mr. Omar Faruque, Director-Private University Division, UGC as the Special Guest. Professor Imran Rahman, Vice Chancellor, ULAB has the welcome address. Crests and certificates were given to 163 students who received scholarships valued at Tk 95 Lac in total. The 37th Programming Contest occurred on 23rd August 2022 at Eastern University (EU). It was Two hours long contest from 9.30 to 11.30 am. The program was arranged by Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) department and supported by Eastern University Computing Club. ULAB and U.S. Embassy Conduct Joint First Aid Training

The United States Pacific Command Augmentation Team (PACOM) conducted a 'Train the Trainer' First Aid Responder seminar for the ULAB staff. Now the ULAB staff understand crucial skills needed to respond to various medical emergencies and will be able to teach the ULAB community these skills to promote a safer environment on campus. Since December, The United States Pacific Command (PACOM) Augmentation Team from the Embassy of the United States of America in Bangladesh has been leading first aid training at ULAB. British Council’s ‘Our Shared Cultural Heritage’ project connecting youth with heritage

The activities carried out under ‘Our Shared Cultural Heritage’ (OSCH), a youth-led programme by The British Council, have recently been showcased in Rajshahi. The activities were showcased on 28 and 29 July 2022. This project has been designed to connect young people and inspire them to work with cultural heritages through organising a series of training and activities. 31 young people from different institutions have been working with cultural heritages since 2021 under this project. It is to connect the heritages to the youth as well as to the wider audience so that people can understand and work on our heritages.
