On the occasion of International Girls in ICT Day 2026, Acme AI Ltd., in collaboration with JAAGO Foundation, organized an engaging AI literacy session for adolescent girls at JAAGO Foundation’s Korail School. The initiative aimed to introduce young learners to the fundamentals of artificial intelligence while fostering responsible and ethical engagement with emerging technologies.
The session went beyond technical definitions of AI, creating an interactive space where students explored how artificial intelligence impacts their daily lives and future opportunities. Key topics included AI basics, ethical considerations, safe usage practices, and the importance of becoming mindful digital citizens in an increasingly tech-driven world.
By encouraging curiosity and critical thinking, the session empowered the girls to better understand both the opportunities and risks associated with AI, equipping them with the tools to navigate and shape the digital future confidently.
“Introducing AI to young girls is not just about technology, it is about inclusion and empowerment,” said Sumaya Siddiqui, Strategic Support Lead at Acme AI Ltd. “When girls understand how AI works and how to use it responsibly, they gain the confidence to participate in shaping the digital world. This session is a step toward ensuring they are not just consumers of technology, but creators and decision-makers.”
Echoing this sentiment, Apurba Karmaker, Lead Impact Investment at JAAGO Foundation, emphasized the broader impact of such initiatives: “At JAAGO Foundation, we believe education must evolve with the world. Integrating AI literacy into our learning spaces ensures that our students, especially girls, are prepared for the future. Partnerships like this help bridge the digital divide and open doors to opportunities that were once out of reach.”
JAAGO Foundation continues to provide quality education to underprivileged children across Bangladesh, integrating innovative approaches such as digital learning and skill development to reduce educational inequality.
This initiative reinforces a shared commitment to quality education, gender equality, and digital inclusion, ensuring that when girls are equipped with the right knowledge, they do not just use technology, they shape it.
