Under the special directives of the Ministry of Environment, Forest, and Climate Change, the Department of Environment conducted mobile court drives across the country from January 2 to January 16, 2025, to curb environmental pollution. During this period, 123 mobile courts handled 323 cases, imposing fines amounting to BDT 5,58,36,700. Activities of 76 illegal brick kilns were stopped by dismantling chimneys, 30 brick kilns were instructed to cease operations, and raw bricks from 7 kilns were destroyed. Additionally, equipment for melting lead/batteries from 5 factories (carried in 6 trucks) was confiscated, and these factories were shut down.
