BRAC Bank has strengthened the security of its Astha App by introducing a QR-based login system for its web platform.
This innovative feature, combined with a new device binding system, enhances security and convenience for customers, allowing them to manage their banking needs on larger screens.
To access the Astha web platform, users now need to scan a QR code displayed on the web login page using the Astha App on their mobile device.
Once scanned, the mobile app session automatically closes, and the user gains access to the web platform. This system enhances security by ensuring that accounts remain active on only one platform at a time.
Additionally, BRAC Bank has enhanced the app’s security with a device binding feature which allows users to register only one device per account, adding an extra layer of security against unauthorized access.
Users must verify their identity with a one-time password (OTP) when binding their account to a device. For those switching to a new device, the OTP verification is again required to ensure the secure binding of the new device with their account.
With these updates, BRAC Bank prioritises customer security while simplifying the digital banking experience. These features cater to professionals and others who handle detailed transactions or financial management, offering the ideal mix of convenience and robust security.
BRAC Bank’s continued investment in advanced technology highlights its dedication to delivering superior, user-friendly digital banking experiences, cementing its leadership in the financial sector.
