The land minister has directed to gradually cease the manual Dakhila

Lands Minister Saifuzzaman Chowdhury has directed to take the initiative to completely ceasing the manual Dakhila (receipt) in land development tax system across the country. He instructed the concerned officers to take measures to bring applicable amendments in the land development tax system rules and regulations for this.

Land Minister Saifuzzaman Chowdhury instructed this to concerned officials while presiding over the progress review (monthly) meeting of the annual development program for the financial year 2022-23 in the conference room of the Ministry of Land today.

The Land Minister also hoped that the Digital Dalhila system could be put into action by completely stopping manual Dakhila in the land development tax system across the country by January next year (2023).

Apart from this, the Land Minister has directed to take measures to attach parcel maps with Record of Rights (ROR/Khatiyan) to bring more transparency and prevent fraud. For this, the Land Minister ordered the concerned project director to include the Geographical Information System (GIS) in the Land Automation Project. A parcel map is a Plot-based cadastral map showing latitude and longitude.

Land Secretary Md. Mustafizur Rahman, PAA, Director General of Land Records and Survey Department Md. Moazzem Hossain, Additional Secretary (Development) of the Ministry of Land Pradip Kumar Das including senior officials of the Ministry of Land, its subordinate offices/agencies, and project directors were present at the meeting.
