The University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) was one of the three finalists under the "Educational Institution of the Year" category of the World Public Relations and Communication Awards 2023.  The award ceremony took place on 21 September 2023 during the World Public Relations Forum (WPRF) held at the ITC Grand Chola, Chennai, India. The School of Communications and Reputation, India won the award this year.  The other finalist was the LSPR Institute of Communication and Business, Indonesia. A Mobile Filmmaking workshop is going to happen at ULAB

A four-day Mobile Filmmaking workshop is going to be jointly organized by the Dhaka International Film Festival (DIMFF) and the Science Film Festival starting on December 23. The workshop is open to students in grades six through twelve from any educational institution. After hands-on training, students will make films on the theme of "Equal Rights in Science" at this girls-only event. The workshop will be held on December 23, 24, 30, and 31 at the Permanent Campus of the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB), and Goethe Institute Bangladesh is the subsidiary of the workshop. The University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) is expanding its graduate placement opportunities by signing a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Dnet. The MoU has been signed on 17 October 2021 at the ULAB’s permanent campus in Mohammadpur. ULAB’s Acting Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Shamsad Mortuzaand Dnet’s Executive Director M. Shahadat Hossain signed the agreement. Dnet is a social enterprise that designs innovative product and service solutions for women, children, and youth in rural and urban settings to create social impact, and for institutions to enhance capacity and productivity. ULAB’s Media Studies and Journalism program gets GA accreditation

The Media Studies and Journalism (MSJ) program of the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) has recently been accredited by the prestigious Academic Council of the Swiss-based Global Alliance (GA) for Public Relations and Communication Management. This accreditation will allow the students and faculty members to get connected with a network of academics, professionals, experts, and associations of communication and public relations from more than 200 counties around the world. ULAB’s General Education Department organized a webinar titled `Health and Wellbeing: Labour Trafficking in Bangladesh-A Case Study’ on 14 July 2021. The webinar began with the opening remarks of Professor Shahnaj Husne Jahan, Head of ULAB’s General Education Program.
