Road reform is not possible without the enactment of a road safety law
The Ahsania Mission Youth Forum for Health and Wellbeing has claimed that road reform is not possible without the enactment of a road safety law. Today, Monday (28 April), at 11:30 AM, during a youth workshop on the Global Safe System Approach held at the organization’s conference room in Shyamoli, Dhaka, the young participants raised this demand.
At the event, the young participants said that the number of injuries and deaths from road crashes in the country is steadily increasing. In the country's recent economic context, the financial loss due to road crashes amounts to approximately 2.5% of the GDP.
