
The Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of United International University (UIU) organized a seminar titled “AI Transformation: Enhancing Productivity, Employability, and Institutional Efficiency” yesterday at UIU Campus, United City, Madani Avenue, Dhaka. The seminar was designed for all faculty members and administrative personnel.
Prof. Dr. Md. Abul Kashem Mia, Vice Chancellor, UIU was present as the Chief Guest at the program. Prof. Dr. Khondaker Abdullah Al Mamun, Director, MSCSE Program & Director, IRIIC, UIU was present as the Resource Person at the seminar. The vote of thanks was delivered by Dr. Mofijul Hoq Masum, Director of IQAC, UIU. Dr. Md. Zulfiqur Rahman, Registrar, UIU was also present in the seminar.
The Chief Guest, Prof. Dr. Md. Abul Kashem Mia, noted that the use of artificial intelligence (AI) is increasing across nearly every sector and has become crucial in many areas. He also said that his seminar will play an important role in using AI in the workplace.
The Resource Person, Prof. Dr. Mamun discussed how Artificial Intelligence (AI) is revolutionizing productivity, creating new employability opportunities, and improving institutional efficiency in both academic and administrative contexts. He further emphasized that AI is increasingly becoming a core driver of productivity—enabling faster and data-driven decision-making, automating routine tasks, and embedding intelligence into day-to-day workflows.
The seminar aimed to highlight practical ways in which AI can enhance teaching, research, and institutional operations, preparing both graduates and staff to work effectively alongside AI technologies. The seminar also aligns with UIU’s commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and supports the University’s vision of establishing itself as a leading AI-enabled academic institution in Bangladesh.
