National Bank hosted its Regional Business Conference (Chattogram) on Saturday, December 28, 2024 at the Jhinuk Hall of the Best Western Hotel in Agrabad, Chattogram. The event was graced by Mr. Abdul Awal Mintoo, Chairman of National Bank as the Chief Guest. The conference was attended by Mr. Md. Abdus Satter Sarkar, Chairman of the Audit Committee & Independent Director and Professor Dr. Melita Mehjabeen, Independent Director. Also present were Mr. Md. Touhidul Alam Khan, Managing Director & CEO; Mr. Sheikh Akhter Uddin Ahmed, Deputy Managing Director; Mr. Md Abdul Matin, Deputy Managing Director; Mr. A.S.H. Helal Uddin, Regional Manager, Chattogram; Managers and Operations Managers of 38 branches in Chattogram region and Managers of 9 sub-branches in Chattogram region.
At the time, Chairman Abdul Awal Mintoo stated that National Bank plays an indispensable role in the country’s economy. The bank has been consistently contributing to the garment, agriculture, and small and medium enterprise (SME) sectors. He urged branch managers to focus on recovering classified loans, increasing new deposits, and improving the quality of customer service. Additionally, he emphasized the importance of showing enthusiasm in introducing attractive deposit products to customers. According to him, customer trust and satisfaction is the cornerstone of sustainable development for the institution.
Managing Director & CEO Md. Touhidul Alam Khan urged the enforcement of legal measures to recover loans from major defaulters in the Chattogram region.
