A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Centre for Artificial Intelligence and Robotics (CAIR) of United International University (UIU) and Nodes Digital Ltd. for research collaboration yesterday at UIU Campus, United City, Madani Avenue, Dhaka- 1212.
Prof. Dr. Md. Abul Kashem Mia, Vice Chancellor (In-Charge), United International University (UIU) presided over the ceremony. Professor Emeritus Dr. M. Rezwan Khan, Executive Director of IAR & Former VC of UIU, Mr. Md. Abdul Moqaddem Treasurer of UIU, Mr. Shovan Samaddar, Managing Director, Nodes Digital Ltd. and Ms. Sanjana Rizvan, Senior Business Development Manager, Nodes Digital Ltd. were present in the program
Prof. Dr. Salekul Islam, Director, CAIR, UIU and Dr. Md. Rashedul Hoque, Director, Nodes Digital Ltd. signed the MoU on behalf of their respective organizations. The registrar, deans of different faculties, heads of different departments, directors and high officials were present in the program.
This MoU will promote and facilitate collaborative research partnership opportunities between Nodes Digital Ltd and CAIR, UIU. CAIR, UIU which has already developed the best robots in Asia in the University Rover Challenge (URC) is envisioned to create and implement algorithms and systems for aerial, space, ground and underwater robots for research and industrial applications. Jointly, they will work together on applications of such systems in agriculture and aquaculture.
