
Lion Salma Adil MJF has officially taken charge as the President of Lions Club of Chittagong Dynamic City for the 2026–2027 service year. The leadership transition took place at a handover and takeover ceremony combined with a reception for the District Governor Team and the Multiple Council Chairperson, organized by the club today. Outgoing President for the 2025–2026 service year, Lion Pulin Chandra Gharami, formally handed over charge to the incoming president.
Lion Shawkat Chowdhury MJF delivered the welcome address at the event. District Governor of Lions International (District 315 B4, Bangladesh) Lion Md. Kamruzzaman Liton MJF attended the ceremony as the chief guest, while IPDG and Multiple Council Chairperson Lion Moslehuddin Ahmed Apu PMJF was present as the special guest.
First Vice District Governor Lion Md. Abu Bakar Siddique PMJF and Second Vice District Governor Lion Parveen Mahmud FCA, PMJF attended as guests of honor. Among the past district governors, Lion M. A. Malek MJF, Lion Kabir Uddin Bhuiyan MJF, and Lion S. M. Shamsuddin MJF also addressed the gathering.
Speakers at the event praised the club’s ongoing humanitarian endeavors and expressed confidence that its welfare activities would expand further under Lion Salma Adil’s leadership.
In her inaugural speech, the newly elected president emphasized that driving leadership excellence, transparency, accountability, and collective participation would be her top priorities to make the club’s initiatives more impactful. She also reaffirmed her commitment to launching sustainable and effective welfare programs for underprivileged communities.
The event concluded with a cultural performance presented by the members of the Leo Club of Golden City.
