Kausar Ahmed Chaudhury, the legendary Bengali lyricist, has left an indelible mark on the world of music with his timeless lyrics. Songs like “Amay Deko Na, Ferano Jabe Na”, “Jekhane Simanto Tomar, Sekhane Basanto Amar”, “Aaj Ei Bristir Kanna Dekhe”, “Ei Rupali Guitar Fele” and “Kobita Porar Prohor Eseche” continue to resonate with music lovers. Though he passed away on February 22, 2022, his creations remain immortal. To honor his memory on his death anniversary, a new song, ‘Shorone Ritwik’, has been released.

This song is dedicated to two artistic souls—Kausar Ahmed Chaudhury and Ritwik Ghatak—who will live on through their artistic contributions. Singer Nafis Kamal shared that this project holds deep emotional significance for him, as Kausar Ahmed Chaudhury was also the lyricist of his very first song “Elomelo”, composed by Naquib Khan. The song gained immense popularity after being aired on Ittadi in 1999. After a long hiatus, Nafis Kamal returns with ‘Shorone Ritwik’. During a live session on February 6, Ritwik Ghatak’s death anniversary, he announced that the official music video of the song would be released on February 22, the death anniversary of Kausar Ahmed Chaudhury. The audio version of the song was released on February 14 and has already received remarkable feedback from listeners.

The song has been composed by Syed Kallol, with music arrangement by Tushar Rahman. The animated music video, directed by Sagor Sen and Sehaj Sindhu and produced by the Abol-Tabol team, will be officially released on Nafis Kamal’s YouTube, Facebook, and other social media platforms.
