An interactive session on “The Future of Careers” was held at UITS

On May 19, 2024 Bangladesh Innovation Forum and UITS Computer Science and Engineering Department jointly organized an interactive session titled “The Future of Careers” at UITS today in collaboration with UITS Computer Club.

The aim of the event was to expose the students to future technology based career opportunities. The event discusses Artificial Intelligence (AI), Robotics, Machine Learning, and Augmented Reality/Virtual Reality and provides guidance on how to build a career in these fields.

Chief Guest was Dr. Md. Abu Hasan Bhuiyan, The Honorable Vice-Chancellor of University of Information Technology and Sciences (UITS), he said, “In today’s event, the guidance of industry experts on frontier technology will play an important role in shaping the career of students and I think that the collaboration between industry and academia will continue in the future.”

Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Sigmind, Abu Anas Shubham, was present as the keynote speaker, he said, “Such events are very important for the young generation. These technologies will revolutionize various fields in the future. Students need to master these areas from now on. In today’s world, students can compete in the international arena by acquiring technical skills.”

Also present were UITS Faculty of Science and Engineering Dean Professor Dr. Md. Ashraful Islam, Computer Science and Engineering Departments Head Assistant Professor Al Imtiaz, Pridesys IT Limited Founder and CEO Monuwar Iqbal, and Tanvir Ahmed Khan, Co-Founder & CTO of Robust Research and Development through their talks, students asked various questions related to Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, Machine Learning and AR/VR and got a chance to get direct answers. Also, students can learn details about how to build a career in these fields and how to prepare.

The event was supported by Pridesys IT Limited and HB Aviation and Tourism Institute.
