The Orientation Programs for the freshers of the Eastern University of Summer Semester has been held at the seminar hall of the campus on Tuesday 26th July 2022 at 10.30 am.
Mr. Abdul Matlub Ahmad, Chairman, Nitol Niloy Group graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Vice Chancellor of Eastern University Prof. Dr. Shahid Akhtar Hossain was the Guest of Honor. Bir Muktijoddha Dr. Md. Shamsuddoha Khondaker, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Eastern University presided over the program.
While addressing the students, Abdul Matlub Ahmad said that for success in life hard work is essential with educational qualifications. He also advised the students to connect themselves with the globalization process. Abdul Matlub Ahmad is a leading business personality, an industrialist and an entrepreneur with a vision of development in Bangladesh. His Nitol-Niloy Group of Companies is one of the prime conglomerates in the country. He established the flagship company Nitol Motors Ltd.
On the occasion, introductory speeches were delivered by Mohd Moniruzzaman Akhand Dean (In-charge) of Arts Faculty; Professor Dr. Abbas Ali Khan, Dean of Business Faculty; Professor Dr. Anowar Zahid, Dean of Law Faculty and Professor Dr. Mahfuzur Rahman, Dean of Engineering & Technology Faculty. Registrar Abul Basher Khan delivered the welcome speech on the occasion. The program was hosted by Nazla Fatmi, Assistant Professor of the English Department.
In the second part, Club Carnival, a gorgeous cultural program & concert held at the playground of the campus. Students from different departments participated in the cultural event. Prominent Folk Band Nakshikatha and classical fusion band Bengal Boys rock the concert.
