The 17th outlet of ‘Elite Lifestyle Limited’—one of the country’s leading fashion brands—was grandly inaugurated Monday, July 27, at 5 PM in the area adjacent to the Oxygen Kanchabazar (wholesale market) in the city.
Professor S.M. Nasrul Kadir, Vice-Chancellor of Premier University, inaugurated the Oxygen branch. He formally launched the outlet’s operations by cutting the ribbon.
Presided over by Muhammad Mamun Chowdhury, Chairman of the brand ‘Elite Lifestyle Limited’, the event was attended by special guests including the company’s Executive Director A.K. Shawkat Ali, Director Jannatul Ferdous, journalist and artist S.M. Azizul Kadir, journalist Partha Nandi, expatriate businessman Kaiser Hamid, and businessmen Md. Faizul Alam, Md. Abdul Hamid, and Anwar Mehedi, among others.
Speaking as the chief guest at the event, Professor S.M. Nasrul Kadir described the initiative as an extraordinary concept—selling high volumes at low prices. However, he urged the entrepreneurs to remain vigilant about maintaining quality.
Noting that the news of the ‘Elite’ brand operating 17 outlets—with plans for half a dozen more—amidst a global economic downturn inspires optimism, he expressed his hope that the brand would one day transcend national borders and gain global acclaim.
Muhammad Mamun Chowdhury, the event’s chairperson and Chairman of the brand ‘Elite Lifestyle Limited’, stated, “I do not serve others food that I would not eat myself; I have taken the initiative to offer people the very same clothing I wear. Elite has already shattered the misconception that low prices equate to poor-quality garments.”
The inauguration ceremony concluded with the ribbon-cutting and cake-cutting. Senior officials of the organization—including Mahfuz Chowdhury, Mrittika M. Chowdhury, Sarlin M. Chowdhury, AGM Md. Mamunur Rashid, Amanur Sadi (Sales and Operations), and Sunmar Art Manager Gias Uddin Tinku—were present on the occasion.
