International University of Business Agriculture and Technology (IUBAT) students have called for stopping the promotion of smoking and drug use through their favorite artists in films, dramas and web series. Today, November 26, 2024 at 10:30 am, a campaign was organized on the campus of the university at the initiative of Madok Draba O Nesha Nirodh Sangstha (MANAS) and International University of Business Agriculture and Technology (IUBAT) demanding the stop of tobacco promotion in dramas, films and web series. The campaign program included human chains, rallies, signature campaigns, and leaflet distribution. DAM Trains 662 Public Transport Drivers for Effective Implementation of Tobacco Control Law

To ensure the proper implementation of the Tobacco Control Law (Amended 2013) and raise awareness about the health risks of tobacco use, 662 public transport drivers have been trained under the initiative of the Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA) and with the collaboration of the Health Sector of Dhaka Ahsania Mission (DAM). The training, titled "Professional Skill and Awareness Enhancement Training for Professional Drivers," was conducted at the BRTC bus depot in Joar Sahara, Dhaka.
