The University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) on Saturday organized an orientation program for the freshers of the Summer 2023 semester at its Research building auditorium at Dhanmondi. In two different sessions Mr. Sahir Chowdhury, Co-Founder and CEO of Shikho, and Ms. Sabah Saleheen Azim, Trustee, Teach for Bangladesh and banker were present respectively as chief guests. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between United International University (UIU) and American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB) for research collaboration yesterday at UIU Campus, United City, Madani Avenue, Dhaka- 1212. ULAB Ranks 75 in WURI’s Global Top 100 Innovative Universities 2023

The University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) has moved up 21 notches in the coveted Global Top 100 Innovative Universities in the World's Universities with Real Impact (WURI) Ranking – from rank 96 in 2022 to rank 75 in 2023. In ceremonies held on 17 May 2023 in Fort Myers, Florida, WURI Project Leader Professor MOON Hwy-Chang announced that ULAB has placed 75th in the top 100 universities. The top five ranked universities are: (1) Minerva Schools at Keck Graduate Institute (USA); (2) Arizona State University (USA); (3) University of Pennsylvania (USA); (4) Massachusetts Institute of Technology (USA); and (5) Stanford University (USA). Two students of United International University (UIU) have received the Study in Canada Scholarships (SICS) for the Academic Year 2023-2024, each valued at CAD$10,200. About 30 students attended an activation event for an inter-university art fest at the campus of the University of Liberal Arts (ULAB) on Thursday, 13 April 2023. This event was jointly organized by ULAB and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO). FAO is organizing this inter-university competition in partnership with leading universities to promote food and agriculture issues and stories. Participants from these institutions will submit entries in the following categories: short videos and photojournalism. Awards will be made for each university for each category, and the winners will enter the inter-university stage. JU Correspondent Jahangirnagar University's students protested on demanding release of Shamsujjaman Shams, Self-correspondent for Prothom Alo on Friday at 3pm on blocking the Dhaka-Aricha Highway near the gate of the university.
