7 winners will be selected from Bangladesh

Applications for the British Council IELTS Prize 2023 are now open for IELTS test-takers from East and South Asian countries, including Bangladesh. The annual competition supports IELTS test-takers with up to £5,000 towards university tuition fees in English-speaking universities. This year, the IELTS Prize is open to test takers living in China, Japan, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Korea, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Nepal, and Sri Lanka. It will be open to students who have applied for undergraduate or postgraduate studies locally or overseas through IELTS and will begin their course from January 2023 to March 2024. LAB holds training program on Zotero and Turnitin for Teachers

The Department of General Education (GED) of the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) and ULAB Library jointly organized two training sessions on Zotero: Citation and reference management tool and Turnitin: Similarity & plagiarism checker including Turnitin Draft Coach for the GED faculties. ULAB Ranks 75 in WURI’s Global Top 100 Innovative Universities 2023

The University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) has moved up 21 notches in the coveted Global Top 100 Innovative Universities in the World's Universities with Real Impact (WURI) Ranking – from rank 96 in 2022 to rank 75 in 2023. In ceremonies held on 17 May 2023 in Fort Myers, Florida, WURI Project Leader Professor MOON Hwy-Chang announced that ULAB has placed 75th in the top 100 universities. The top five ranked universities are: (1) Minerva Schools at Keck Graduate Institute (USA); (2) Arizona State University (USA); (3) University of Pennsylvania (USA); (4) Massachusetts Institute of Technology (USA); and (5) Stanford University (USA). FAO and ULAB organizes an activation event for inter-university art fest

About 30 students attended an activation event for an inter-university art fest at the campus of the University of Liberal Arts (ULAB) on Thursday, 13 April 2023. This event was jointly organized by ULAB and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO). FAO is organizing this inter-university competition in partnership with leading universities to promote food and agriculture issues and stories. Participants from these institutions will submit entries in the following categories: short videos and photojournalism.
