BRAC Bank has expanded its financial footprint with the inauguration of a new Agent Banking Outlet at Harinal Bazar in Joydebpur, Gazipur.
The outlet was inaugurated on June 18, 2026. This launch underscores the bank’s commitment to driving financial inclusion by bringing secure, modern banking services closer to grassroots communities. With this outlet, the bank reaches the milestone of 1,117 Agent Banking Outlets nationwide.
The inaugural ceremony was attended by distinguished local community leaders, valued customers, and bank officials. Representing BRAC Bank at the event were Mobarak Hossain, Regional Coordinator, Agent Banking; Ashraful Alam, Team Lead, Agent Banking (Gazipur Region); Mahitosh Sarker Mahim, Corporate Collection, Agent Banking; Mokshed Alam, Senior Manager, Corporate Banking; and Rejaoul Karim, In-Charge of the Joydebpur SME Unit.
Speaking at the launch, bank officials highlighted that the new Harinal outlet will serve as a vital financial hub for residents and micro-entrepreneurs. By offering essential services—including account opening, deposits, withdrawals, utility bill payments, and remittance handling—the outlet eliminates the need for customers to travel to distant urban branches.
With this latest expansion, BRAC Bank reinforces its commitment to empowering unbanked and marginalized populations, seamlessly integrating them into the formal banking channel.
