Banglalink Stands with Communities During the Monsoon

Banglalink, the country’s leading digital operator, recently distributed over 12,000 raincoats among rickshaw and van pullers across 10 city corporations during the ongoing monsoon season. The initiative covered major urban hubs, including Dhaka, Gazipur, Chattogram, Khulna, Barishal, Rangpur, Bogura, Sylhet, Mymensingh, and Rajshahi.

As a caring brand, Banglalink designed this initiative to address the everyday challenges faced by essential daily earners like rickshaw and van pullers who have little choice but to brave the downpours, often getting drenched with no one standing by to support them.

Recognizing this reality, Banglalink stepped in to care for those who need it the most. For the operator, being a responsible brand is not only limited to the expansion of its core connectivity services; it also means driving meaningful community impact by standing directly beside people whenever they are in need.

“We often talk about putting people first, and this is what that looks like in practice,” said Kazi Mahboob Hassan, Chief Marketing Officer of Banglalink. “These workers keep our cities moving, often under the harshest conditions. A raincoat may seem like a small gesture, but it reflects our deep appreciation for their hard work and our commitment to their well-being.”

Through proactive support during seasonal challenges, Banglalink reinforces its broader ambition to foster inclusive growth and advance community welfare across Bangladesh. The operator is committed to integrating societal commitment into its overarching operations, ensuring that progress positively impacts every segment of society and making a better life for all.
