
Banglalink, the country’s leading digital operator, in its effort to deliver on its commitment to embedding ethics, integrity, transparency and responsible growth across its operations, observed Ethics & Compliance Week 2026 during the month of August with the slogan “Ethics & Compliance Starts with Us”.
Ethics & Compliance Week 2026 reinforced the essential principle the operator follows: Sustainable growth relies not only on what an organization achieves, but on how those goals are accomplished,’ at every operational level.
The five-day program drew in leaders, employees, front-line workers, and business partners, as well as a visiting delegation from Banglalink’s parent company, VEON, including Gabriela Gutierrez, Group Head of Ethics & Compliance, Sarwat Salauddin, Group Head of Investigation, Dovgulya Sergey Igorevich, Interim Head of Compliance Culture & Engagement, and Ahsan Minto, Group Investigations Senior Manager. The activities during this time included daily quizzes, targeted awareness sessions, interactive discussions, and floor walks, in which business leaders led the translation of E&C principles into practical, everyday choices.
A dedicated Leadership Roundtable featured a keynote presentation on integrity as a strategic advantage and an ethical tone at the top, followed by discussions on Psychological Safety, Compliance Culture, case studies, and lessons learned from real situations. Furthermore, an interactive CEO fireside chat, focusing on openness, trust, the courage to speak up, and addressing ethical dilemmas. Regional leaders engaged with key frontliners in locally arranged discussions on responsible conduct and ethical culture. There were also regional market visits, which provided a deeper understanding of the business from urban and rural markets, customers, retailers, and communities.
Around 80 local and international Business Partner representatives and internal stakeholders joined a session titled “Building Trusted and Responsible Partnerships” recently, which focused on third-party risk management, integrity, transparency, responsible conduct, and continuous compliance. Cross-industry leaders from Business Partners, joined VEON and Banglalink leadership, shared practical experiences, and participated in a panel discussion on priorities for trusted and sustainable business relationships.
