
Leading Bangladeshi Medical and Personal Protective Equipment (MPPE) companies have participated in the premier international medical device exhibition, the Medtec Japan 2025. The event is being held from April 9-11, 2025 at the Tokyo Big Sight, Japan where Bangladesh is being represented by Nereene Karuponya, Robolife Technology, Farseeing Knite Composite-Shangu Group, Bibeat Technologies Ltd. and Datasoft Manufacturing & Assembly Inc Limited at Pavilion no. 2304 of Hall 2 & 3 titled “Meet Bangladesh” to promote country’s MPPE sector. An inauguration ceremony was held where Md. Daud Ali, Ambassador, Embassy of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh and Morarjee Deshai Barman, Commercial Counseller, Embassy of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh were present.
This Meet Bangladesh Show (MBS) is introduced by Export Competitiveness for Jobs (EC4J) Project under the Ministry of Commerce financed by World Bank to showcase the growing MPPE sector of Bangladesh. The primary objective of EC4J project is to strengthen export market linkages for MPPE sector by showcasing Bangladesh as a credible sourcing destination. The MBS expects to strengthen Bangladesh’s presence in global markets and position it as an attractive sourcing destination- said the organizer of the project.
The sector shows remarkable growth potential, driven by biodegradable MPPE using jute and other sustainable materials, emphasizing eco-friendly solutions alongside skilled workforce and advanced manufacturing capabilities.
