Arpona Rani Rajbongshi gets Sher-e-Bangla Golden Award

Playwright Arpona Rani Rajbongshi has been awarded the Sher-e-Bangla AK Fazlul Haque Golden Award-2023. The award was presented at a grand ceremony at a hotel in the capital on Saturday, October 26, 2024, at the initiative of the Sher-e-Bangla Cultural Alliance. He was awarded as the best playwright there.

This reception was organized on the occasion of the 151st birth anniversary of Sher-e-Bangla AK Fazlul Haque. At that time, the award was presented to Arpona Rani Rajbongshi by Sher-e-Bangla’s grandson, former information secretary and chief advisor of the organization, Syed Margub Morshed, and Honorable Justice Mir Hasmat Ali, a freedom fighter.

Regarding the award, Arpona Rani Rajbongshi said, “It is definitely nice to be awarded in recognition of a work. It increases the responsibility towards the work. Please pray for me so that I can present better plays, songs, and novels to the readers and viewers in the coming days.”
